Acceptable Use
What this service is for
HostBin exists to share passwords, credentials, API keys, and other sensitive information securely between people who trust each other. It is built for normal, everyday use by individuals and teams who need a safe, anonymous way to transmit confidential data.
What is strictly prohibited
The following content is absolutely forbidden and will result in immediate action, including but not limited to permanent bans, data preservation for law enforcement, and full cooperation with authorities:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form. This includes images, videos, and any content depicting or promoting the exploitation of minors. There is zero tolerance. No exceptions.
- Non-consensual intimate content of any kind.
- Content that facilitates terrorism, violence, or direct physical harm to any person.
- Malware, ransomware, or tools designed to cause damage to systems or people.
- Stolen personal data such as identity documents, financial records, or credentials obtained through theft or fraud.
Monitoring and enforcement
While this service is designed to be private and anonymous, uploaded files are subject to automated fingerprinting and periodic review to prevent abuse. We do not read text secrets. We do not log passwords. But we do maintain the ability to detect and act on illegal file sharing.
If illegal content is identified, we will preserve all available metadata for law enforcement and fully cooperate with any investigation.
Common sense applies
This is a tool built for people with good intentions. Share passwords. Share credentials. Share sensitive documents with colleagues. That is what this is for. Use it the way a reasonable person would, and you will never have a problem.
